ALTIMATE S.A., a national leader in providing intelligent urban mobility solutions, has signed five contracts with Pitești City Hall for the expansion and modernization of the integrated traffic management system in the city, with the following 5 components:
Expansion of the integrated traffic management and video monitoring system, including for public passenger transport in Pitești municipality in the amount of 10. 041.710 lei (excluding VAT), which will be implemented in collaboration with the subcontractor EUROPLUS CONSTRUCT S.R.L. This project will consist of the modernization of the traffic lights at seven pedestrian crossings on major arteries of the municipality, the installation of traffic sensors and asymmetric lighting, the installation of video surveillance cameras and the development of the Command and Control Center, the connection to the data network of the municipality.
Four lots for the extension of the integrated traffic management system, with a total value of more than 15 million lei (excluding VAT), which will cover the modernization of traffic lights for another 22 pedestrian crossings on the main avenues and streets of Pitești and the installation of traffic and lighting sensors, installation of video cameras and integration into the centralized traffic management system.
ALTIMATE will also install 45 charging stations for electric vehicles, supporting the municipality’s commitment to sustainable mobility.
The extension of the traffic management system will bring significant benefits for the residents of Pitești, such as increasing pedestrian safety, reducing traffic waiting times and traffic jams, preventing incidents and increasing urban safety, promoting electric mobility, reducing pollution and carbon emissions.
The implementation period of the contracts varies between 5 and 8 months, their finalization is scheduled for the end of 2025, and the total value of the contracts is 25,159,250 lei (excluding VAT).
Also for the Municipality of Pitesti, Altimate has completed, in December 2023, a complex traffic management system that integrates: public transport prioritization, video surveillance, incident detection, traffic management and metering with wireless sensors, driver information through variable message signs, ANPR license plate reading, weigh-in-motion (WIM), air quality sensors, road condition sensors, Command and Control Center, fiber optic communication system, radio communication system.
